Hannah Hogan, L.Ac.
Hannah’s holistic patient approach involves extensive questioning, diverse treatment methods and dedication from both patient and practitioner. Examination of each patient’s lifestyle (diet, stress, activities) allows for recommendations that can greatly impact the individual and the speed of their recovery. Her treatments not only involve acupuncture, but also include an array of other techniques (including massage, cupping and gua sha) that allow each patient to reach optimal health. Hannah’s areas of specialization include women’s health, orthopedic and sports acupuncture, and the management of chronic pain.
Hannah began her career as a massage therapist and doula in 1999. Her career as a massage therapist included 10 years of private practice, and three years serving as an instructor of massage and anatomy/physiology at the National Holistic Institute in Emeryville, California. In addition, from 2002-2004 she attended numerous childbirths as a doula. In 2006, she began her studies of Traditional Chinese Medicine in order to deepen her knowledge of holistic healing. She received a Masters of Science in East Asian Medicine from the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley California in 2009. Hannah continued her training in 2010, completing a 3 month internship in China through Zheng Jiang University in Hong Zhou, specializing in Women’s Health and traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine. Hannah continues to expand her knowledge through continued participation in workshops, apprentice programs and specialized education opportunities with leading acupuncturists.
Hannah loves her career and feels honored to support people in their healing journeys. When she is not at work she enjoys dancing, hiking, and most of all playing with her young daughter.
